That is the kind of story I wanted to write with DEAD.

At its core, DEAD is a psychological thriller about survival, consequence, memory, and the terrifying moment when the world around you no longer feels trustworthy. It begins with a man who is used to being in control, a firefighter, steady under pressure, respected in crisis, certain of his own strength. But some fractures do not show on the surface, and some warnings are only understood after it is too late.

What drew me to this story was not just suspense, but the deeper unease that lives underneath it. The stories that stay with me have never been built on action alone. They carry atmosphere. They carry emotional weight. They leave behind questions. They make the reader feel that something is wrong before they can fully explain why.

That was the space I wanted DEAD to enter.

This is a dark, cinematic novel shaped by tension, fractured reality, and the uneasy line between what is survived and what is escaped. It is a story about fire and water, guilt and identity, and the possibility that a man can live through disaster without ever truly leaving it behind.
